Sales / Estimator Overview

Sales/Estimating duties

  • Receive Sales leads from…

  • Collect Project details from lead

  • Qualify each lead as a project we want to bid

  • Meet the client at the Project site

  • Set Project up in Google Drive and Buildertrend

  • Contact designers / Engineers needed for the Project (If Applicable)

  • Send out all appropriate bid invitations with plans and scope of work to subs/vendors

  • Download and save an estimate spreadsheet to log all bids.  Save in the Estimate subfolder for that Project

  • Receive all bids necessary to cover the scope(s) of work we are bidding

  • Qualify the bids or compare them to other bids to determine the cost and scope of work to be included in the Clients Proposal

  • Review the complete estimate with your Project Manager for his approval/check

  • Create a detailed Scope of work referencing plans, specs, documents, etc. with detail of what’s Included AND Excluded, (Did I mention Detailed?!)

  • Download Proposal to create the Proposal to send to the client, Export to Client as a .pdf. Or create proposal within Housecall Pro or Buildertrend

  • Have the client sign the proposal via DocuSign or from within Housecall Pro or Buildertrend. Send Deposit invoice to the Client

  • Handover to Project Manager
