Estimating Overview

The steps from estimating to being awarded a project should be as follows

  • Set up new project in Google Drive under “Estimating”

  • Set up new project in Buildertrend with job group “Estimating”

  • Develop Subcontractor bid list (if applicable)

  • Send Subcontractor bid invitation email (if applicable)

  • Build project schedule in Buildertrend

  • Add photos into Companycam/Google Drive or Buidertrend/Google Drive

  • Invite Owner to Buildertrend

  • Coordinate Subcontractor project walkthrough (if applicable)

  • Develop the estimating spreadsheet

  • Develop the proposal

  • Send proposal to client along with CU Midwest Designs insurance information etc
